What an opportunity God has placed before me! This blog will be a way for me to share my journey with my friends and family while I am away. God has given me the opportunity to travel to Dili, East Timor and become a part of their unique and exciting ministry for ten months beginning in January. While in East Timor I will serve as an English teacher, helping to train teachers as well as working with the youth and children's pastor of the local Nazarene church. This church ministers to teens and college students in the area by teaching English and creating outreach events in order to most importantly introduce them to Christ. I am so excited to be a part of this ministry!
I am embarking on a journey that requires me to trust God more than I've ever had to in my life. It's very difficult to leave the current ministry I am involved in, but I feel strongly that God has called me to a new place, new time, and new people.
Please continue to keep this ministry in your prayers, I know that God's grace is sufficient and that He is able to do more than I could EVER ask or imagine and that He will supply our every need. Pray for those we teach and encounter along the way that their hearts will be open and ready to hear about and recieve Christ.
Thank you for being willing to be a part of this ministry in your prayers and support, there's no way this would be possible without the church working locally and globally as we continue to share and build His kingdom!
